Busy high schoolers benefit from the Connections program by exploring 20 character strengths related to success in school and the workplace. Practice with character strength application in a variety of workplace settings and in their local communities provides teens with a deep understanding and application of each character strength. Making connections is the ultimate soft skill preparation for high schoolers transitioning from school to work or college.
A robust ePlatform of printable resources, lesson plans, assessments, parent resources, and much more! Digital eMagazines offer quick on-the-spot activities for easy classroom integration with any subject area. A different executive function skill is introduced in each eMagazine, along with printable worksheets and posters.
The Connections program includes a variety of assessments, such as a paper/pencil self-assessment with specific points aligned to the primary article for each of the Connections magazines. Other assessments include character strength related assessments such as a quick quiz, pre and post assessments, and open-ended assessments.
Family engagement support for parents of high schoolers is an important part of the Connections program. Student content is available to parents through the ePlatform. In addition, within the Mental & Emotional Awareness Suite, parents have access to student videos and other resources.
